What is Arduino

 Arduino is a open source platform for anyone to work with microcontroller. You can programme that microcontroller using c++ , phython, c# and lot more programming languages. But it is much easier to programme with c++ language.

When we talking about the usage of this arduino microcontroller, we can consider mainly home automation projects, robotics, making items for health care system, making drones and more.

What is Industrial Automation and it's history

 Industrial automation  is method of handling systems without involving humans with the process, 

Industrial automation uses both hardware and software to streamline a variety of physical processes. It’s commonly used in manufacturing settings like large factories and warehouses to streamline production, assembly, and material handling. 

While some trace the origins of automated devices as far back as the 17th and 18th centuries, many believe the first use of automation technology in the industrial space was in 1947. That year, General Motors created an automation department that implemented mechanized controls to speed up production in their automobile assembly line. Shortly after, the manufacturing and digital revolutions merged when the first industrial computer system was built in 1959. 

With the rise in industrial economy, the business strategies for industrial automation have also changed over time. Now-a-days, the fundamental motivations for implementing industrial automation are:

  • Increase production
  • Reducing cost, especially, human-related cost
  • Improving the quality of the product
  • Efficient use of raw materials
  • Reduce energy consumption
  • Increase business profits
Also we can discussed about few types of industrial automation systems such as,

  • Fixed automation
  • Programmable automation
  • Flexible automation
  • Integrated automation
